Nursing Support Services
Nursing Support Services provide a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver clinical oversight, health risk monitoring, and staff instruction. This service is designed to maximize a participant's health, safety, and independence while integrating them into community settings. Unlike continuous shift nursing, DDA nursing services are clinical oversight models structured around three specific service tracks.
Nursing Consultation
This track provides professional clinical assessments and health education to participants who manage their own medical tasks or utilize natural, unpaid support.

Core Areas of Support
Clinical Assessments
Features comprehensive health evaluations, fall risk screenings, and choking risk reviews.
Risk Tracking
Includes completing or reviewing the mandatory Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST).
Self-Medication Reviews
Evaluates whether a participant can safely self-administer medications using standardized screening tools.
Service Frequency
Typically structured around quarterly check-ins, capped at a maximum of 16 hours per year
